We prepare our Astragalus extract from the roots of Astragalus membranaceus plants which are Certified Organically Grown 1 without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Astragulus (Huang Qi), to assure optimal extraction of Astragalus'' bioactive compounds, the roots are hand-harvested only in late autumn, are carefully shade-dried to maintain their full aroma and color, and are then thoroughly extracted.
